Morning





































When I returned to New Orleans after being away in graduate school,
I began living in the 4th floor apartment on Ursuline Street across from the original Brocatta's Ice Cream Parlor in the French Quarter.
I n the mornings artists would roll their carts to Jackson Square to set up pictures on the fence to claim their spot.
Streets were empty except for the cleaning up after the night before "Morning" Acrylic 20" x 24" $150

Scene from Irish Channel'



My grand father had a house on Rousseau Street in the Irish Channel. His

brothers lived on the same street. My great-grandmother had a corner pub a block away. The neighborhood was very Catholic. There was a German Catholic Church built across the street from an Irish Catholic Church. They were both filled on Sunday.
